COMPACT OFFICER ROLE
REPORTS TO: The Chief Executive of Nuneaton and Bedworth Council for Voluntary Service who will provide day to day management and supervision.
The overall work programme will be monitored by the Compact Implementation and Monitoring Group.
Joint supervision arrangements will be established to include the County Council’s Community Development Co-ordinator.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: On behalf of the Warwickshire Compact Monitoring and Implementation Group the Compact Officer will be the main lead resource and support to Compact development in Warwickshire and will be responsible for the following:

Arranging and supporting the yearly or twice yearly meeting of Compact Champions

Arranging and supporting the meetings of the Implementation and Monitoring Group

Writing the annual report under the guidance of the Implementation and Monitoring Group

Keeping up-to-date with Compact development nationally, developing expertise and identifying issues for improving “good practice” and the development of the specific areas or “codes of practice” contained within the Compact.

Developing a standard monitoring process to check out with partners how the Compact is being used

Visiting partners at least once a year as part of the monitoring process

Promoting the Compact within the community

co-ordination of any mediation issues and maintaining lists of potential mediators.
